Dear friends and well-wishers of Kampani Capital,
It has been an interesting few weeks here at Kampani Capital. We were among the delegates at the recent G 20 event held in Gandhinagar at GIFT City and the attendees includ the whos-who of international finance ranging from the President of the World Bank to all the Senior officials of global central banks. While there was a sense of pride in India hosting this event at this growing financial hub of GIFT, there was alsoa feeling of achievement of India being an integral part of the overall discussions across multiple levels. We spent time with members of delegations from Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, China and Indonesia and it was good to see them open to investment into Indiaas well as attracting Indian capital.
One of the important themes of this conference was infrastructure building and also climate change. Given that we interact with capital allocators both within India as well as overseas, we are seeing a lot of capital coming into climate tech and social causes which shall clearly be a growth theme for the next 5 years. The heat waves in Europe and flooding across Asian cities is nothing but a testament to the importance of increasing allocations in this space.
The last month also saw a pivotal moment in the Indian capital markets space with the SGX Nifty moving to GIFT City as GIFT Nifty – one more indication that global capital will move more and more towards India.
We are now well positioned to help our clients raise as well as invest capital across Indian asset classes with presence directly or indirectly across multiple Indian cities as well as global financial centers like London,Dubai, Rome, Paris and Hanoi. We shall soon be launching services on the debt raising side with focus on early stage debt allowing founders access to this important avenue of capital. A big thanks once again to our clients in Chennai, Ahmedabad, New Delhi and Gurgaon who took out time to meet us on our roadshows. We look forward to growing the relationship between the Indian and global financial ecosystems as we help to build India for the world!
Yours truly,
