Dear friends and well-wishers of Kampani Capital,
As another eventful year draws to a close and we look back at our professional as well as personal hits and misses for the year, one thing which is quite clear is the general optimism and cheer around the Indian Economy. India still stands out like an oasis of opportunity amongst all the geopolitical and economic gloom across the world. While the services sector has been a shining light for a while in India now ,it is the story of the manufacturing supply chain that is now emerging like the new (and mature kid) on the block. India and parts of South East Asia are predicted to be the stand-out economies for 2024 as some of the more traditional eastern powers ease off on the manufacturing growth pedal. The play across sectors like semiconductors, robotics, AI-ML and IoT seems to be the hottest space for all our asset allocator clients like Family Offices, HNIs and Pvt/Public Market Fund Managers.
Another very interesting story emerging much closer home is the emergence of small town India .This is true across sectors be it Mobile phones -where over 60% of new I Phone sales is coming from outside the Metros or Hospitality where top rated hotels are opening up in places like Erode, Panipat, Jaisalmer and Dhanbad to just name a few. Interestingly its not only us who are talking about the race to 5 USD Tn , but its also the Indian Equity Markets which continue to scorch the pace as compared to any other global market delivering a block buster year ending performance
On behalf of the entire team at Kampani Capital, Sowmya and I would like to thank each one of you for all the support given to us in 2023 and we promise to be back in 2024 with a lot more for all our clients, partners and stakeholders. We continue to focus on this journey to deliver the best of India to the world as also bring the best of the world to India.
